Job Descriptions and requirements for each position are as follow.

Family Advocacy Treatment Manager (FATM)

The Family Advocacy Treatment Manager (FATM) is be the primary provider of treatment services for assigned maltreatment and prevention cases, coordinating services for families and monitoring client participation and progress utilizing the modalities of social casework, psychotherapy, and psycho-educational interventions. Requirement: MSW, LCSW with at least 2 years of experience in last 3 years. This is a credentialed position. Social Work Degree is required (no exceptions)

Family Advocacy Outreach Manager (FAOM)

The FAOM provides community behavioral health education, family violence education and prevention training, resource finding and service linking, and prevention program interventions to promote protective factors and to address maltreatment risk factors. Requirement: MSW with at least 2 years of experience in last 3 years Social Work Degree is required (no exceptions)

Family Advocacy Intervention Specialist (FAIS)

The Family Advocacy Intervention Specialist (FAIS) encompasses the roles of both the Treatment Manager and Outreach Manager at installations where conditions don’t meet the criteria for a full-time position in both realms. This position provides opportunity to do outreach and clinical services. Requirement: LCSW with at least 2 years of experience in last 3 years Social Work Degree is required ( no exceptions) Domestic Abuse Victims Advocate (DAVA) The DAVA supports the Family Advocacy Treatment Manager (FATM) to develop System Advocacy, Education and Public Awareness, promoting a coordinated community response to domestic abuse and Collaborates with the Military Treatment Facility (MTF) to establish protocols. Requirements: A bachelor’s degree (any of the following disciplines: Social Work; Psychology; Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling; Counseling or Behavioral Science; Criminal Justice, or related field) and 2 years of experience.

Family Advocacy Nurse (FAN)

The FAN provides nursing home-based services that include education, support, and anticipatory guidance in such areas as growth and development across the life span, nutrition, parenting, attachment/bonding, individual and family health related issues, family violence dynamics, problem solving, family communication skills and bereavement. Requirement: BSN with at least 2 yr of Experience in last 4 years and RN license. Family Advocacy Program Assistant (FAPA) The Family Advocacy Program Assistant (FAPA) provides administrative, technical, and prevention services as directed by the Family Advocacy Officer (FAO). Requirement: Associate’s Degree in Education or Teacher Certification. High proficiency in Microsoft Office and various database /software programs.
